System specifications: The system shall polish all plastic, polycarbonate lenses while providing a 3 D bevel control. The system shall be computer controlled by a BRC/LMS computer through an interface polling box, and shall have provision for bar code scanning of trays and stock with the use of a barcode wand emulation scanner. The system shall have a full display of the uncut and finished lens. The system must be 100% parallax error free regardless of refractive power and any system distortions. The system shall have a high resolution of centering menus for single and multifocal lenses with displays for lens decentration. The system shall have a control panel and LCD mounted on top of the unit to assure contamination free operation and to assure keeping hands from the unit after loading and prior to cycle startup. The system shall have a built in water coolant system with pump and filters to allow utilization of the coolant for extended periods of time.
