Teresa Braddock 253/925-9718. Seattle Facilities Field Office, U. S.
Postal Service, Contracting Office for Inplant Support, Plant and
Distribution, Western Area (Federal Way WA Office) is soliciting an
indefinite quantity contract for architect services for repair and
alteration projects in the states of Washington and Oregon. A/E firms
submitting their qualifications will be evaluated using the following
selection criteria: 1) Two (2) or more architects registered in both
the state of Washington and/or Oregon; 2 (two) or more registered
professionals in electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil
engineering disciplines; 2) Experience in postal distribution
facilities repair and alteration projects; 3) Ability to provide high
quality services in construction administration as the owner's
representative; 4) Auto-CADD capabilities, version 12.0 or higher; 5)
Experience in repair and alteration project administration of Postal
projects and/or comparable projects; and 6) References. The selected
A/E's may be awarded subsequent services over a period of two (2) years
with three (3) one-year renewal options subject to project needs of the
Postal Service and the A/E's availability of staff knowledgeable in
Postal work, firm workload, and the high quality of A/E's performance
on recent Postal projects. There is a $5,000 contract minimum, with a
maximum of $1,000,000 over a five year period; maximum not to exceed
$100,000 per work order. Total work ordered for a twelve month period
not to exceed $250,000. Award of additional projects may be made
without further solicitation for facilities located within the
geographical area noted above. Firms that have the qualifications to
perform the services described above are invited to submit a completed
SF 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for
Specific Projects, a completed SF 254, Architect-Engineer and Related
Services Questionnaire, and a completed SF 254 for each of its proposed
consultants to the office shown above. The selection will be conducted
by using the submittedSF 255 and the SF 254s. Interested firms with
more than one office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing
composition of the office in which the work will be performed.
Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement
in accordance with the instruction in the following order of
preference: 1. Within State of Washington and/or State of Oregon 2)
Outside State of Washington and/or State of Oregon. Architectural and
Engineering firms will be considered as local only if their sole office
is in the local geographical area or they have a local branch office
and all the architectural design, coordination and management of the
project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction on
the geographical location of consultants. The contract contains a
requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of
$250,000 of errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay any
fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
No other general notification for this project will be made. Submission
of SF 254 and SF 255 by USPS mail (Express Mail, Priority Mail, or
First Class Mail) is encouraged. This solicitation may result in
multiple awards. Submissions will not be retained or returned. This is
