The Maintenance and Logisitic Command, Pacific is proposing a contract for the drydocking and repairs of the USCGC POINT BROWER. The cutter's homemoorage is located at Yerba Buena Island, San Francisco, CA. The period of performance for this contract starts 22 June and ends 31 July 1998. The major work items include and not limited to keel repair, engine room supply air chamber preservation, wheelhouse/stateroom detacouple renewal, port torsional coupling renewal and propulsion system alignment, QAWTH replacement, propeller shaft and bearing renewal, engine room exhaust vent trunk renewal, crews shower replacement, messdeck floor covering renewal, zinc anode renewal, main hold preservation & insulation replacement, boat boom biennial overhaul, sea valve overhaul, engine room exhaust vent truck renewal, and kingpost deta couple renewal. The solicitaion will be issued under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program on or about the March 18, 1998.
