J -- REPAIR OF REPAIRABLES (ROR) FOR THE 8011-3 PARTICLE COUNTING SYSTEM SOL N68335-98-G-0114 DUE 032598 POC L. Stibich Code 233LS, (732)323-4771. Contracting Officer is J. Murtagh. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires repair services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Pacific Scientific, HIAC/Royco Eastern, 2224 U.S. Highway 130 SO., Beverly, NJ. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these services because they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the equipment already purchased by the Government. The 8011-3 Particle Counting System is used to provide determination of contamination levels in aircraft and support equipment hydraulic samples. Particle Counting System Model 8011 consists of: Model 8000A Counter, Model ABS-2 Automatic Bottle Sampler, and Model HRLD-400HD Sensor. The proposed Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for repair services shall be for a period of three (3) years. Repairs will be done using original manufactured replacement parts. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0068)
