Competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The U.S. Army Medical
Command Contracting Center has a requirement for nonpersonal
Occupational Health (OH) Services in support of the Federal
Occupational Health (FOH) Program. The FOH program is a part of the US
Department of Health and Human Services which provides OH services and
consultation to stimulate the development of improved OH and safety
programs throughout the Federal Government. The FOH program assists
Federal managers to establish OH care services for federal employees,
comply with mandated and voluntary OH standards, monitor environmental
hazards for special classes of employees, counsel employees at
physical or emotional risk from alcoholism, drug abuse, stress, or
other job-related factors, maintain a drug-free workplace, and promote
overall federal employee health and physical fitness. Services are
required at FOH Clinics and Wellness/Fitness Centers in Region 3:
Alaska, Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana,
Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico; and Region 5:
West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York,
Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and
Maine. Occupational Health Providers (OHP) required include, but are
not limited to, OH Nurse Program Coordinators and Nurse Coordinators,
Certified Occupational Health Nurses, OH Nurse Associates, RN and
LVN/LPN, Administrative RNs, Physicians, Occupational Medicine
Physicians and Board Certified Physicians (Occupational
Medicine/Internal Medicine/Family Practice), Audiometric Technicians,
Physician Assistants, Adult Registered Nurse Practitioners and Medical
Administrative Support personnel, EMTs and Certified Medical
Assistants and Technicians. OH providers required for the
Wellness/Fitness Centers may include, but are not limited to,
Wellness/Fitness Program Coordinators and Fitness Coordinators,
Wellness/Fitness Associates and Trainers, Exercise Leaders, Exercise
Physiologist, Wellness/Fitness Trainer, Wellness/Fitness Specialists,
Health Educator/Trainer, Personal Trainers, and Registered Dieticians.
The tentative issue date of Solicitation Number DADA10-98-R-0014 is 25
Mar 98 and the tentative closing date is 30 Apr 98. It is anticipated
that there will be one award for Region 3 and a second award for Region
5. The contract period of performance is estimated to be for a base
period of 1 Oct 98 through 30 Sep 99 with four 1-year options. Awards
must be made NLT 31 Jul 98 to allow for a 60-day start-up period. Two
(2) indefinite quantity contracts are anticipated as a result of this
solicitation. This requirement is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns.
The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 8099.
