The Government requires a vessel with captain and crew to conduct work east and northeast of northern Kodiak Island from approximately July 29, 1998 to August 14, 1998. The charter vessel will be allowed to retain the catch once the scientific sampling for each haul is completed. Vessel requirements include: an overall length of 45.7m (150ft.), minimum continuous horse power from main engine of 1,500, ability to tow the Nor'eastern net with tire gear, be completely rigged for trawling, and have accomodations for 10 government scientists.
