Z -- NATO: RESTORATION OF RUNWAY, TAXITRACKS AND AIRCRAFT PARKING AT RAF FAIRFORD AFB SOL 2AF 50443 DUE 031398 POC Alexis Kemper (202-482-1512) The United Kingdom Delegation to NATO is inviting bids for a NATO project to restore runway, taxitracks and aircraft parking, hardstands, construction of jet fuel installations and dispensing facilities, and the replacement of the airfield electrical distribution system at RAF Fairford AFB in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. The work is programmed as four separate NATO projects, but the intention is to implement the work under one contract. Firms need to attend a bidders conference on site and then submit a lump bid price for the work. Nominated firms will receive a questionaire to provide financial and technical information to show that they are able to carry out the proposed work. All applicants must be certified to compete in NATO ICB by the U. S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications.
