Z -- REMOVE EXISTING 150KW GENERATOR AND INSTALL NEW GOVERNMENT FURNISHED GENERATOR, FACILITY 66, MACDILL AFB, FL SOL F08602-98-B0005 DUE 042998 POC Mr Kenneth Huckins, Contract Specialist, 813-828-3815x330; Ms Debra Parent, Contracting Officer, 813-828-3815x346 This procurement consists of removing the existing 150KW Kohler generator and all support equipment necessary for its operation and install a new government furnished (GFE) 400KW Onan generator, Model #400 DFEB, Automatic Transfer Switch, MdlBT-1000 and muffler in Facility 66, Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP), at MacDill AFB, Florida. The contractor shall provide a new 30 gallon daytank with electrical pump and level gauge, electric solenoid shutoff, battery cables, jacket water heater, through the wall thimble, (2) 12 volt batteries, battery rack (on unit) battery charger plus circuit, flex for existing side inlet, crankcase heater plus its circuit, daytank pump plus circuit, (1) new 2 lamp fluorescent fixture plus lamps (in the new building extension area), flexible muffler connection, muffler ceiling supports, new transition exhaust shroud, new fused disconnect switch, new main load center including the new and existing breakers, new junction box for connecting and splicing the generator wiring, new parallel conduit and wiring, cutting the existing conduit and connecting the new conduit. The contractor shall also be required to modify the exhaust opening and the muffler opening at the rear of the building and connect the existing fuel tank to the daytank into the generator. The contractor shall be required to verify the installation by running a four hour test of all connection to insure that the generator support functions are corectly connected, operational and functional. The contractor shall be required to bring the generator to the site. The replaced generator will be set aside and covered under the picnic enclosure. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 45 calendar days. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 March 1998.
