Machine Specifications: Build Volume (Largest Part Size): Approximately 8" X 10" X 8" High. Equipment Dimensions: Approximately 29" X 36" X 42" High. Control Panel: Power, Online, Spread, Feed Up, Feed Down, Build Up, Build Down. System Software Specifications: Software Package Provides Interface Between Customer's Cad System And The Z402 Machine. Software Accepts Solid Models In "STL" File Format As Input. Post-Process Units: Depowdering Unit. Manual Waxing Unit. Training: Up To 4 Hours. Provided Warranty: 90 Days. Service Contracts: 1 Year Upon Expiration Of 90 Day Warranty Period. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Z Corporation, 35 Medford Street, Suite #213, Somerville, MA 02143. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have until March 16, 1998 to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after March 16, 1998 without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
