Amendment 1 to Broad Area Announcement for Applied Technology Programs of the Prince William Sound Oil Spill Recovery Institute (OSRI) Issued March 9, 1998 RE: Competition for Nowcast/forecast Ocean Circulation System. This announcement details three amendments to the original BAA titled "Competition for Nowcast/forecast Ocean Circulation System" with an original deadline of March 13, 1998. (1) Deadline for receipt of applications EXTENDED. New deadline: Friday, April 3, 1998 Changes in "Instructions for Proposal Preparation": Section F Summary Proposal Budget (2) Salaries and Wages (Lines A1-7 and B1-6): OSRI will consider providing up to 12 months of principal investigator salaries. (Delete previous limitation of "3 months") (3) Indirect costs (Line H): The indirect costs may not exceed 20 percent of the total proposed. This limitation is based on the Congressional mandate regarding administrative costs included in the Oil Pollution Act of 1990, Section 5001(j) and the directive of the OSRIAdvisory Board (May 18, 1997, meeting minutes).
