Norton, Contracting Officer 303 969-2748 The National Park Service (NPS) will hire third parties to perform mineral examinations, including preparation of mineral reports, for determining the validity of unpatented mining claims and mill sites located in park units. The NPS will select three to four contractors for a period of one year with 4 one-year options. Contractors must not have any legal interest, direct or indirect with the mineral property or with the claimant in any form whatsoever. A professional mineral report, produced under the standards set out in Bureau of Land Management (BLM); Mineral Reports -- Preperation and Review, and in H -- 3890-1: Field Handbook for Mineral Examiners will be the result of each contract awarded.
