consists of investigation; preparation of design, drawings,
specifications, cost estimate and phasing plan for renovation of the
subject facility with an option for construction administration
services. The work will include interior demolition of walls and fixed
mechanization, handicapped accessibility issues, new office spaces,
renovation and other work at an estimated cost range of $5 million-$10
million. The qualifications of firms or joint ventures for this
project are as follows: (1) Autocadd Version 14 or later; (2)
Architectural firm shall have a minimum of four licensed architects in
the office where the work will be performed; (3) In-house engineering
and out-of-house consulting engineering firm(s) shall have at least
two licensed engineers in each of the following disciplines: Civil
(including survey),Structural, Mechanical and Electrical in the office
where work will be performed; and (4) Prime and civil, structural,
mechanical and electrical engineers shall have worked togetheron at
least three projects of comparable size and scope, involving extensive
interior demolition and redesign. Firms that have the qualifications
to perform the services described previously are invited to submit a
completed SF255, Architect/Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire
for Specific Project, and a completed SF254, Architect/Engineer and
Related Services Questionnaire, for each of its proposed consultants to

The selection will be conducted by using both the submitted SF255 and
SF254s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on
its SF255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will
be performed. Consideration will be given to firms, including
consultants, responding to the advertisement in accordance with the
following order of preference: (1) 30-mile radius of Kansas City,
Missouri; (2) 100-mile radius of Kansas City, Missouri; and (3) states
of Missouri and Kansas. Architectural and engineering firms will be
considered as local only if their sole office is in the local
geographical area, or they have a local branch office and all the
architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will
be performed in that office. The contract contains a requirement for
prime firms to provide evidence of current insurance of $200,000 of
errors and omissions per claim. It is prohibited to pay any fee,
commission, percentage or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resulting from award of a contact for this project.
No other general notification for this project will be made.
