D -- SUBSCRIPTION FOR A LOAN DATABASE (LPC'S DEALSCAN) FOR WINDOWS POC Jeff Ryan (202) 874-5034 The Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a Bureau of the Treasury Department, intends to issue a purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition FAR Part 13.6 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items on a sole source basis to Loan Pricing Corporation (LPC) 135 West 50th Street, 13th Floor, New York, NY 10020, for their loan database software -- DealScan for Windows. The OCC anticipates that this purchase order will be for a 12 month base period, with four (4) 12 month option periods. In order to provide the OCC's bank examiner's with the analytical tools to assist in their understanding of both historical and current trends in commercial loan banks, the loan database software must cover Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and Middle Market lending, private placement and high-yield bond markets, cover markets in Eurpoe, Asia, and other emerging markets, include search and report capabilities including the ability to search by performance pricing criteria as well as on Moody's and S&P Bank Loan andBond ratings, and include loan pricing tools/databases and loan loss statistics. The purchase order will include a license to allow up to twenty (20) OCC employees to utilize the software. In addition, the purchase order will cover complete installation and ongoing technical support of the database, and training for users. Due to the OCC's intent to issue a sole source purchase order to LPC, no solicitation document is available. Any vendors who believe that they have a relational windows database product that will satisfy the OCC's loan database requirements should submit sufficient technical information on their product/software (including pricing information) to the address specified above no later than 15 days from the date of this announcement.
