Advisory and assistance services supporting enforcement and compliance
monitoring, permitting development and review, waste management
reduction, corrective action, program planning, and evaluation and
management for hazardous and solid waste for the EPA, States, and
Indian tribes in accordance with the Resource Conservation and Recovery
Act (RCRA), as amended by the Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments. It
is the Government's intention to award up to a total of two
cost-plus-fixed fee, level of effort contracts. The solicitation will
support the area of Zone II, which consists of Regions 4, 5, and 6.
Zone II represents the southern, southwestern and central region of the
contiguous United States. The contract period of performance shall be
for a two year base period with one, one year option. Each contract
will have an estimated level-of-effort ranging from 144,000 -- 186,000
professional and technical hours for the base period and a range of
96,000 -- 124,000 hours for the option period. Offerors will be
considered for only one award. Alternate proposals will not be
accepted. Request for Proposal PR-HQ-98-10135 will be released within
approximately 60 days. The SIC is 8999. The purpose of this CBD
announcement is to notify potential offerors of EPA's requirement,
generate the source list, and to direct interested parties to the EPA's
"Doing Business with EPA" Internet World Wide Web site at
http://www.epa.gov/oam for further information on this procurement as
it becomes available. The RFP, amendments and other related items for
this procurement will be posted on this Web site and can be
downloaded/viewed. Interested parties must forward requests to be
placed on the source list via Internet E-mail as stated below, via
facsimile (202) 565-2557, or to the mailing address that follows: U.S.
