The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Services Administration is soliciting proposals for a
requirement for writing, editing, tracking support, and graphic
services necessary to produce and disseminate printed information to a
variety of audiences. Examples of products to be produced are as
follows: pamphlets, booklets, manuals, monographs, technical reports,
articles, proceedings, fact sheets, knowledge exchange bulletins,
summaries, A/V tapes, and resource kits. The PREVline network is CSAP's
electronic communication system that provides national and
international users up-to-date information on alcohol, tobacco, and
drug issues. This contract will produce electronic files of prevention
materials for access via PREVline and the Internet. A three-year
period of performance, is anticipated from any contract resulting from
the RFP. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Small Business
concerns. The Standard Industrial Classification is 2741. The estimated
issuance date of RFP No. 277-98-6024 is March 26, 1998 and responses
are due to be received in the Contracting Office on or about April 28,
1998. This solicitation may be obtained in either of two ways; by mail
or by downloading a file from the World Wide Web at
http://www.samhsa.gov/contract. Files will not be made available on the
World Wide Web until on or after the estimated issuance date. Download
instructions are posted on the Web. Once downloaded, you should
determine if you have a continuing interest in the RFP. If so, you must
either write the individual identified above that you wish copies of
amendments to the RFP (if any) sent to you by mail or check the Web
regularly for amendments which will also be posted there and can be
downloaded electronically. You may choose any of the two methods for
obtaining amendments. Note, however, that if you rely on the Web for
obtaining amendments, at this time we have no way to assure, and will
therefore assume no responsibility for assuring, you have downloaded
these amendments. Requests for copies of the RFP to be mailed must be
made in writing and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis
until the supply is exhausted. Requests shall be forwarded to the
attention of Craig Sager, Contract Specialist, Division of Contracts
Management, OPS, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services
