This announcement provides notification of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intent to continue acquiring local area telephone services as described below through Bell Atlantic for the period from April 1, 1998 through May 31, 1998. Bell Atlantic shall provide, install, and maintain, 24 hours per day, the full range of local telephone company services, on an all or nothing turnkey basis, including but not limited to continuity of services for PBX trunks with established direct-in-dial number plan, 1 MB type telephone lines, local area dialing and single-digit access to the direct distance and international long distance dial and international long distance dial networks. These services shall be provided to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, Maryland, campus including NIST North and the NIST Nike Site. There is no solicitation for this extension. Any requests for a copy of a solicitation will be disregarded since there is no solicitation.
