70 -- HIGH-SPEED SCANTRON SCANNERS POC Penny Starliper, Contracting Officer The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) intends to issue a sole source delivery order to Scantron Corporation against their General Services Administration schedule contract (GS-35F-4247D) for high-speed scanners (Models 4000 and 5500). These scanners are required to interface with AO-acquired software (JUROR for Windows Automated Jury Management System software from Omni-Tech Systems Ltd., 7445 132nd Street, Suite #2016, Surrey, B.C. V3W1JB). The software provided by Omni is a commercial, off-the-shelf software package that provides a comprehensive tool to select, track, and manage jurors. For the high-speed reading of juror qualification questionnaires, the Jury Management System software supports Scantron Corporation's ScanMark series of high-speed scanning equipment, which includes such programmable features as output bins, embedded printers for numbering of forms, and form definitions. These Scantron scanners meet the Government's requirements and are compatible with the Omni CorporationJury Management Software package. Any interested party must submit written documentation regarding their scanning equipment's capabilities and compatibility with the Omni Corporation software package. Such data must include, as a minimum, a complete description of the proposed item, a complete analysis to demonstrate that the product provides the necessary capabilities to meet the AO's requirement, pricing data with applicable discounts, GSA schedule contract number (if applicable), a point of contact, and any other pertinent information. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms who respond to this synopsis.***** (0070)
