Notice of intent to issue Access Certificates for Electronic Services (ACES) DRAFT Request for Proposals (RFP). The General Services Administration, Federal Technology Services, Office of Information Security (OIS) intends to issue a DRAFT RFP on Monday 3-16-98 via the INTERNET. The release point it the GSA ACES Wsb Site. The HTTP World Wide Web address is GSA.GOV 'slash' ACES. As this is a CBD announcement sent by e-mail slashes cannot appear in the text. Therefore, in the above address relace the 'slash' with an actual slash mark. If you are inerested in receiving a copy of the draft solicitation it will be on the web site available to download by COB Monday 3/16/98. The due date listed in this announcement, 3/26/98, is the last date written comments and questions will be received from interested parties. Do not return any comments based solely on reading this announcement as these may not be in a form suitable for use as the RFP may elicit. All vendors currently listed on the ACES web site vendor list will receive electronic media copies of the RFP by US Mail. The mailing will occur monday 3/16/98. However, anyone can get a copy of the DRAFT RFP direct from the ACES web site by file download. The DRAFT RFP will be in a self extracting file format. A Final RFP is anticipated soon after questions and commets can be answered and incorporated into the RFP. Once the final RFP is developed and issued it will identify a time and place for a vendor pre-proposal conference. When the final RFP is ready for issue it will only be available for download. It will only be available from the ACES web site. No distribution is anticipated otherwise. However, a notice of its availability will also be issued as a presolicitation notice as this notice has been issued for the ACES DRAFT RFP. Parties unable for whatever reason to download from the ACES web site may call any of the POC list personnel on the ACES Web Site Contact List for assistance.
