following constitutes a market survey of industry to determine
interest/capabilities of POTENTIAL 8(a) AND SMALL BUSINESS SOURCES.
NIMA, St. Louis, is analyzing the potential sources to determine the
feasibility of an 8(a) or Small Business set aside for a Base Operation
Services Contract (BOSC) that include: Facilities Equipment Operation
and Maintenance, Janitorial Services, Integrated Pest Management, Snow
and Ice Removal, Grounds Maintenance, Safety and Industrial Hygiene,
and Refuse Collection and Disposal, Recycling, and Classified Waste
Destruction. A Firm Fixed Price contract with some Time and Materials,
Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, and Award Fee provisions is
contemplated with a one year base period plus four option years. The
applicable SIC Code is 8744 and the applicable size standard for this
proposed acquisition is $20M. Firms MUST demonstrate at least 5 years
experience performing same or similar BOSC in the form of an outline of
projects for specific relevant work completed or currently being
performed which includes contract numbers, description of work, points
of contacts with phone numbers, most recent past performance
questionnaires; Top Secret facility and personnel clearances; Name,
professional qualifications, and specific experience of
Management/Engineering, Quality, and Safety/Industrial Hygiene
personnel who may be assigned to perform the work, and any other
pertinent information which would enable the Government to assess each
firm's capabilities. Replies to this survey must be received no later
than close of business on 17 March 1998. Firms must 1) state whether
they qualify as a Small Business based on the size standard above, and
2) indicate if they are an 8(a) firm, a small disadvantaged firm, a
woman owned firm, or a historically black college or university or
minority institution (HBCU/MI). The Government reserves the right to
set the acquisition aside for 8(a) firms, small businesses, or HBCU/MIs
based on the responses received. This synopsis is for planning purposes
only and does not commit the Government to pay for the information
requested, issue a solicitation, or award a contract. No technical or
