The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wants to determine if there are potential purchasers willing to relocate eighteen (18) historic buildings from Fort Benning and reconstruct/rehabilitate and maintain the building(s) in accordance with section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. Additionally, Fort Benning has two historic buildings available for on-site restoration and rehabilitation for occupancy by federal, state, or local governmental agencies and private agencies. Some of these buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places and are subject to screening for housing of the homeless.
