FROST, (301) 504-0444/1142 This synopsis is being issued to correct a synopsis which appeared in the February 17, 1998 issue of the Commerce Business Daily. The synopsis is corrected by adding a restriction that the Contractor's facility for editing and satellite feed be located within a 50 mile radius of CPSC's Headquarters Office in Bethesda, Maryland. The restriction was inadvertently left out of the original synopsis. The Synopsis is changed to read: The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) intends to utilize a firm-fixed price indefinite quantity contract with three one-year option periods to procure Video News Releases (VNR's)and Satellite Media Tours including Satellite Distribution showing recalled products or describing generic product hazards as required. The Contractor's facility for editing and satellite feed shall be located within a 50 mile radius of CPSC's Headquarters Office, located in Bethesda, Maryland. This requires the Contractor to come to CPSC's Headquarters Office quickly to interview the CPSC Chairman, cover a news conference, or videotape a recalled product. Request for Proposal (RFP) CPSC-P-99-1001 will be issued on or about April 15, 1998 with proposals due on or about May 18, 1998. This procurement requires the Contractor to possess redundant in-house video crews, in-house editing, station notification systems, and broadcast capabilities in order to handle emergencies and very tight deadlines. All responsible sources with these in-house capabilities may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Government. No telephone requests for copies of the RFP will be accepted.
