360-396-0267 Sources Sought for Printing Services for Prospective
Bidders/Proposers using Electronic Bid Sets(EBS). It is the intent of
the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Engineering Field Activity,
Northwest (EFANW) to begin implementation of Electronic Bid Sets in the
Spring of 1998, i.e., issuing plans and specifications, and forms via
electronic media (CD-ROM) or Internet instead of paper media. Potential
bidders/proposers may require source(s)to print paper copies of the
plans, specifications, and forms from the CD-ROM. The CD-ROM will
contain all solicitation documents (plans, specifications, and forms),
and royalty-free software to allow complete utilization of the
solicitation documents. EFANW is soliciting printing firms (especially
those in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and California) to
register their firms on the Electronic Solicitation Printing Companies
List on the Internet at
http://tsn.wes.army.mil/TSNSolicitationPrinting.asp. The minimum
capability of a printing firm must be to print paper copies of the
plans (".cal" files), sizes up to 28 inches by 40 inches and
specifications (".pdf" files), sizes 8 1/2inches by 11 inches and 8 l/2
inches by 14 inches from the CD. Printing firms should also explore
their capability in the future to download and print solicitations
directly from the Internet. The Government does not recommend
registered firms as capable of printing plans and specifications from
CD's, nor is the Government responsible for the accuracy or quality
