JOHNSON 253-967-2151 ext 219 (Site Code DAKF57) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quote number DAKF57-98-Q-0096 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. The quote document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-3. The quote is unrestricted with a SIC Code of 4812 and a size standard of 1500 employees. As provided under Section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act, the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source-Motorola; however, all quotes received by the date specified below will be considered. CLIN 0001 3 MO Lease of 134 EA Motorola Portable Radios, UHF, 406-420 Band Radio, Smartnet with leather carrying case or equal; CLIN 0002 3 MO Lease of 186 Motorola HT 1000 Portable Radios, VHF, preprogrammed or equal; CLIN 0003 3 MO Lease of 41 rapid rate multi chargers and 74 single chargers for CLINS 0001 and 0002; CLIN 0004 3 MO Lease of 320 High Capacity Spare Batteries for CLINS 0001 and 0002. CLINS 0001 and 0002 shall be compatible with the existing Motorola Trunked Radio System in use at Fort Lewis, WA. Delivery shall be F.O.B. Destination, with desired delivery 15 May 1998 and required delivery 15 May 1998, to Warehouse No. F-10, HQ 4th Region ROTC, Attn: ATOD/IN, Box 339512, Fort Lewis, WA 98433. Provisions 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. Since this is an RFQ, paragraphs (b), (c), (f), (g), and (h) of FAR 52.212-1 are deleted. Vendor will be chosen based on compatibility with existing system, delivery date, and price. Vendors shall submit, as part of their quotations, evidence of compatibility with Fort Lewis Motorola Trunking System if quoting on products other than the Motorola products specified, proposed date of delivery for CLINS 0001 through 0004, any additional delivery/pick up charges and completed copies of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and DFARS 252-212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. Contract will be entered into using SF 1449. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and does not include an addendum. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
