Buildings/structures are World War II type constructed of wood frame with wood or cement asbestos siding and concrete pier foundations, or permanent structures constructed of CMU or CMU with brick veneer. Most buildings are in need of extensive repair and surface preparation; Provide exterior facility building number signs on each building/structure whose exterior is painted; Paint interior of buildings and structures. Building interiors vary in materials (e.g. gypsum board, wood, metal, concrete, concrete masonry block, clay tile block, or other materials). Interior painting includes incidental repairs to provide complete maintenance, repair and correction, surface preparation, work above 20 feet, windows and cleanup. Scope may also contain painting requirement for McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Washington and/or other DOD installations in the vicinity. Contract period consists of Base Period (1 June 1998 through 31 May 1999) and a one-year option period. This is a requirements type contract and delivery orders will be issued against this contract. This procurement will be issued as unrestricted. There will be a non-refundable charge for this solicitation.
