announces the release of the initial revision of the Block II Single
Channel Anti-jam Manportable Terminal (SCAMP) Technology Transfer
CD-ROM. PM Milsatcom, in conjunction with MIT/Lincoln Laboratory is
developing the initial prototype of the Block II SCAMP Milstar
terminal. This terminal is lightweight (12 lb.) with low power
consumption. The Block II SCAMP prototype will initially operate on the
Milstar LDR payload. The purpose of the Block II SCAMP Technology
Transfer CD-ROM is to provide a logical, structured means of
transferring Milstar terminal technology to industry. This is to assist
industry in any current or future terminal development efforts in this
area. The CD-ROM documents the terminal level architecture, the
expected system performance, and the terminal block diagram with links
to complete technical data on each subassembly. Interested Industry
participants may request a copy of the CD-ROM at no cost from PM
Milsatcom. The ordering information is given below. Please note that
the government reserves the right to limit the quantity provided to
each organization. PM Milsatcom requests industry evaluate this initial
revision of the CD-ROM and provide feedback regarding: 1. Ease of use
-- Problems viewing or printing the information 2. Structure and
organization of the information 3. Level and adequacy of technical
detail 4. Any other desired technical information PM Milsatcom
anticipates updated releases every six months. Each update will
identify changes from the previous revision for ease of evaluation.
