This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is unrestricted. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-12. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3825. The size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation number DAHA04-98-Q-9003 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the procurement of two (2) each Videoimagescope Inspection Kits to include the following items: (a) Video Scope: 6.00mm (.0236"), working length 2M 78.7" (6.6') -- Color CCD; real time, full screen image; tungsten braid, PTFE impregnated outer covering, tapered flex insertion tube (TM), full way articulation -- 150 U&D; 150 L&R (or equivalent). (b) Optical tips: AT80D-80 degree field of view direct; DOF: 10mm-inf, AT40D-40 degree field of view direct; DOF: 330mm-inf, AT80S-80 degree field of view side; DOF: 23-200mm. (c) Camera Control Unit: Menu driven features such as: high gain 1-9.9; integration: 1/60 second to 10 second; automatic CCD shuttering (1/10,000th to 1/60th second), white balance with memory; live pan and zoom; image enhance; date and time display. (d) Light source: High output zenon lamp; 300 watt or equivalent, operates on 115V/240V AC (50/60Hz) or 12V DC. (e) Spare lamp for light source. (f) LCD Monitor: 6" diagonal, sunshade, mountable. (g) Articulating support arm set; includes arm, super clamp, mounting platform. (h) DC battery source, charger, carry bag, minimum run 40 minutes. (i) Image Storage: Digital storage and measurement system; built in mouse control, 3 1/2" disk drive for image transfer to PC (JPEG or TGA), measurement system retrieval of up to 10 stored images in non-volatile memory, measurement of frozen/stored images. (j) Portability Carrying Case: Case will store all above listed items except battery. System can be operated from case or removed for maximum portability. (k) Exterior shipping sleeve for shipment of videoimagescope system, must be heavy duty and impact resistant. Quotations for the item(s) described above may be mailed or faxed to the identified point of contact and include, Solicitation Number, Discount/ Payment Terms, Warranty Duration (if applicable), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), CEC or DUNS Identification Number, Identification of any Special Commercial Terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (OCT 1995). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shalllist the country of origin. The Representations and Certifications required by FAR 52.212-3 (which may be obtained via the internet at URL: http://www.arnet.gov/far/97-03/html/52_000.html.) shall be required from the successful quoter(s) prior to award.
