The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a provisioned item order to contract N00019-97-C-0027 to procure a trade/feasibility study to assess the planning and requirements for modeling and simulation support of the AIM-9X Missile System. This study is in addition to the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (E&MD) effort currently being performed under the AIM-9X Missile program by Raytheon Missile Systems Company (RMSC), formerly Hughes Missile Systems Company (HMSC). Only RMSC, with its experience as sole designer and developer of the AIM-9X Missile, possesses the technical and engineering capability to fulfill this requirement. RMSC is located at P.O.
