SOL DACW17-98-R-0009 DUE 041598 POC Contract Specialist Wanda Cruz (904) 232-2083 (Site Code DACW17) Servicing, Installing, Repairing, and Fueling of Government Furnished Engine-Generator Sets in seven states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia) and the Caribbean (Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands). This procurement will be in support of emergency operations in the aforementioned areas. The contracts will be established as Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts. There will be a maximum of nine contracts awarded from this solicitation. Notice is given that contracts will only be awarded in the event the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) tasks the USACE with responding to a natural disaster during the 1998 hurricane season (1 Jun -- 30 Nov). If no such tasks are issued, the solicitation will be canceled at no cost to the Government. The maximum value of each contract will be $1,000,000 per year for the base year and four (4) option years. Bidders are encouraged to bid on all areas, but this is not mandatory. Each schedule willbe evaluated separately. Work to be performed includes obtaining right of entry, conducting baseline assessments of conditions at installation sites, installing, servicing, fueling, operating, maintaining, relocating, recovering, and transporting Government furnished engine-generator sets and fuel systems. Generators range in size up to 1MW. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all loading, hauling, and unloading equipment necessary for performance of work required by the contract. The Contractor will be responsible for maintaining a daily property inventory to show each generator in the Contractor's possession as well as usage information.
