a performance based service contract to furnish the necessary
nonpersonal services including all supervision, personnel, equipment,
materials, and other items necessary to perform Office and
Administrative Services, Facilities Security and Equipment Monitoring,
Grounds Maintenance, Custodial Services, and Facilities Management,
for the period of performance at the Department of Transportation
(DOT), Federal Highway Administration's Turner-Fairbank Highway
Research Center, a federal wned and controlled laboratory facility and
office complex located in McLean, Virginia. The facility consists of
three distinct buildings consisting of approximately 178,000 square
feet of office and laboratory space situated on 43 acres of paved,
turfed, and forested land. This is a follow procurement a contract
awarded to Raven Services Corporation, Alexandria, VA
(DTFH61-93-C-00001 on 2/26/93 for $5,266,501). This solicitation is
100% set aside for small business. SIC Code 8744applies. NO FURTHER
INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Submit written requests for
copies of the solicitation to the address indicated above and include
two (2) self-addressed gummed labels. The requestor's DUN and
Bradstreet (DUNS) number, point of contact and telephone number, should
be included in the request along with two (2) self-addressed and
gummed, return labels in order to expedite the request. The
solicitation number should appear on the bottom edge of the labels. A
separate written request is required for each solicitation package
being requested. NO TELEPHONE, FAX OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
All RFP's will be mailed in 3 1/2" diskette, WordPerfect 6.1 format, to
offerors who send in written requests. Amendments, if any, will be
mailed either in hardcopy or diskette format. The RFP and its
forms/attachments will also available for downloading on our Webpage at
HTTP://WWW.FHWA.DOT.GOV/AAA/HAMHOME.HTM. If you download copies of
solicitations from our Webpage you will NOT automatically receive any
amendments to those solicitations unless you have also sent in the
written request. It is your responsibility to check back frequently to
see if FHWA has issued any amendments to solicitations you have
downloaded. All amendments will be posted on, and may be downloaded
from, our Webpage. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which
shall be considered by FHWA. This Notice is for informational purposes
for Minority, Woman-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority,
woman-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further information and
