This solicitation is for Lead Abatement Construction Services, WITHIN THE AREA OF THE STATE OF OHIO. The contract for lead abatement construction services will have a two (2) year term. Individual work orders will be issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $250,000, and the total contract cannot exceed $3,000,000 for the entire term of the contract. Licensed firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to request a solicitation package. Packages can be ordered from the Columbia Facilities Service Office, Attention: Sol. #232098-98-A-0036, 10500 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 200, Columbia, MD 21044-3505. A check in the amount of $50.00, made payable to Disbursing Officer, USPS, must accompany your request. Consideration will be given to interested firms providing the lowest multiplier (price) with the highest qualifications to satisfy the requirements of local officials in completing lead abatement work in U.S. Post Offices located throughout the State of Ohio. The multiplier, which is the deciding factor, will be submitted with consideration given to a firm's location. Each firm may submit three separate multipliers based on their location within the state, such as Northern, Central and Southern. Multiple awards will be made. Participation of Minority-Owned Businesses is a consideration in U. S. Postal Service selections. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
