Reclamation has a requirement for upgrading mechanical equipment. The
principal features of the work include the following: 1. Removing and
disposing of the existing jet pumps and eductors and associated
equipment; 2. Furnishing and installing piping, valves, and eductors
and associated equipment; 3. Dismantling, cleaning and repairing
various valves; 4. Unwatering construction area; 5. Removing steel
support beams and furnishing and installing new steel support beams; 6.
Removing existing gratings and covers as required for mechanical piping
installation modification; and 7. Furnishing and installing new
miscellaneous metalwork. The estimated cost range of this project is
$500,001 to $1,000,000. The location of this project is at Hoover Dam,
approximately 7 miles east of Boulder City, Nevada. The performance
time for completion of this project is 180 days. The presolicitation
notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. This
solicitation is not restricted. For this acquisition the standard
industrial classification code is 1796 and the small business size
standard is $7 million. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation
is April 17, 1998. The estimated date for receipt of bids is May 18,
1998. Solicitation copies can be viewed without charge at the Bureau of
Reclamation, Management Services Office, Nevada Highway and Park
Street, Annex Building, Room AA-107, Boulder City, Nevada 89005. There
is a nonrefundable charge of $15 for the above solicitation. Only
