The contractor shall provide upgraded enhancements to currently installed equipment and operating software for High Resolution Picture Transmission (HRPT) and DMSP Satellite Receiver System (Terascan) installed on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Sea Icebreaker. SeaSpace Corporation is the sole manufacturer of the TeraScan satellite weather/earth imagery receiving system. This is a proprietary system made of parts of a proprietary design. The performance period will be prior to 13 July 1998. The contractor shall provide necessary personnel, equipment, material, supplies, transportation, and training to upgrade this system. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Written responses, providing sufficient data to determine capability to meet the requirement, must be received by this office within fifteen (15) calendar days, with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with SeaSpace Corporation.
