The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following software and software maintenance items manufactured and provided by Aonix. The items are: (1) P/N 0076 ALSYS ADA Compiler for HP RT Version 5.5.4 BASE Package Code AWBA (5 each); (2) Annual maintenace for ALSYS ADA for HP RT Version 5.5.4 (5 each). All items must be year 2000 compliant and written documentation addressing this issue must be provided with the quote. The software maintenance shall consist of unlimited telephone support, Monday through Friday excluding Government holidays, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM EST, all updates, enhancements and documentation for a period of one year from date of award. Aonix is the proprietary and only source to provide this software and maintenance. This software and maintenace is the only software that can be used to fulfill the AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) Q-70 computer programs applications hosted on the AEGIS class Cruisers and Destroyers. This software will be hosted on the AEGIS Baseline 6P3 Q-70 lifecycle support system. Lifecycle support includes maintaining, updating, delivering and installing the AEGIS computer programs. The AEGIS Baseline 6P3 Q-70 computer programs are currently being developed by Lockheed Martin of Moorestown, NJ utilizing the Alsys ADA compilers. This requirement must maintain developers and the AEGIS fleet to ensure the ACC can support its lifecycle support engineering mission and deliver quality AEGIS computer programs to the fleet. This requirement is for additional Aonix software to be installed and used on the AEGIS ships and this software and maintenace must be directly compatible with all existing Aonix software. Aonix is the only source that provides this required software and maintenace. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquistion Procedures.
