E-MAIL: Betty B. Lane, B.B.LANE@larc.nasa.gov. NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal for Data Reduction and Analysis of Aircraft Measurement in Support of FIRE Artic Cloud Experiments. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the service from the National Research Council of Canada, Atmospheric Environment Service (AES) under authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c). Based on the results of a sources sought notice SS280, posted on December 8, 1997, the AES is the only source with the specialized aircraft and instrumentation to conduct and analyze the required data measurements set forth in the statement of work. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. RFP will be released on or about 10 days after publication of this synopsis in the CBD. Firm date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
