The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase a 12 month maintenance agreement for a RU200 Rotating Anode X-ray Generator system and heat exchanger from RIGAKU/USA, 199 Eoasewood Drive, Danvers, MA, 01923. The Institute intends to purchase this maintenance agreement by other than full and open competition from RIGAKU/USA who is the recommended sole source vendor. This maintenance agreement is necessary to provide maintenance on this equipment on protein and enzyme structures. This maintenance should include normal repair service within four hours via telephone by the Field Engineer. Service requiring on-site visits will occur within 48 hours from the conclusion of the telephone response and repair hours are 8:00am-5:00pm. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be in within the Simplified Acquisition Thereshold $ 100,000. It is anticapated that Request For Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-980-343 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication data of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is April 10, 1998.
