The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego CA is issuing this "Market Research -- Sources Sought" synopsis. Industry comments will be accepted by email jo_escalera@fmso.navy.mil. The proposed acquisition is anticipated to be procured under FAR Part 12 Commercial Items. Services as described on a Performance Based Work Statement will consist of Repair of Repairables (ROR) services for the Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS). Services will support the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Laboratory and Aviation Depot, North Island, San Diego, CA. The ATE laboratory currently has 6 CASS stations, with configurations consisting of two Communication, Navigation, and Identification (CNIs), three Radio Frequency (RFs), and one Hybrid (HYB). The minimum CASS stations of 6 are located at Naval Aviation Station, North Island, San Diego. However, the number of users may be include other DoD CASS stations throughout the performance years. The number of CASS stations at other locations may increase up to a maximum of 40. The Government anticipates a FFP contract. The pricing arrangement will be for "each" CASS station per year. Anticipated performance period will be a base year and 4 option years. ROR assets require a 30 day turn-around-time (TAT) for urgent repairs and 60 day (TAT) for non-urgent repairs. Reference document for the CASS failure assets list is available from the TWG-LKE-013 dated Aug 97. Currently the revised TWG-LKE-014 (Mar 98) is being updated by NAVAIRWARCENACDIV Lakehurst. The proposed acquisition will be advertised full and open competition.
