J -- F-16 SOL F42620-98-R-BBBBP POC For copy, Wanda Peterson/Lfks/[801]777-5856, For additional information contact Wanda Peterson/Lfks/[801]777-5856 The following information is provided to inform industry that Ogden Air Logistics Center (00-ALC) plans on extending the current existing USAF and FMS F-16 Provisioning contracts for four years to Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems (LMTAS), Ft Worth TX 76101. They have the skills and knowledge required to complete this effort This acquisition is for initial provisioning requirements for the F-16 weapon system. This anticipated effort will be an extension to the current USAF/EPAF and FMS provisioning contracts. The United States Air Force is in the process of preparing a Justification and Approval Document to gain the required approval to issue a sole source request for proposal to LMTAS. Provisioning includes the process of determining and acquiring the range and quantity of spare and repair parts for all levels of supply and maintenance, and support and test equipment required to operate and maintain an end item for an initial period of service. Provisioning technical documentation is the data needed for the identification, selection, determination of initial requirements, and cataloging of support items to be acquired through the provisioning process. It includes such things as provisioning lists and logistics support analysis summaries. There is no available data package (drawings and specifications). Subject to the Government's consideration, a viable source which is not already qualified to provide the requisite provisioning, will submit a concise and program specific response presenting sufficient information to substantiate that they have (1) the necessary knowledge and understanding of the requirements; (2) they possess a unique body of corporate knowledge encompassing all facets of the F-16 Multinational Fighter Program; (3) possess the F- 16 data base for the identification of items that will require initial provisioning data for the aircraft. The proposed contract extension is for initial provisioning requirements for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, ora limited number of sources. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10.U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and the applicable Far citation is 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) for USAF and 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(4), applicable FAR citation It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm listed.
