V -- TRANSPORTATION SERVICES SOL RFP-463-0089-98 DUE 041798 POC -- Michael C Fisher CONTRACTING OFFICER (907)257-6945 FX(907)257-6711 The Veterans Affairs Medical & Regional Office Center located at 2925 DeBarr Road, Anchorage, AK 55908, has a requirement for a Contractor to provide transportation services to and from any location within the Anchorage & Eagle River area for eligible veterans. Any contractors wishing to participate in this proposal should have at least one vehicle which is used for the physically disabled or show an ability to provide the service for the physically disabled with the existing fleet vehicles. The rate for this service should be considered on a per mile basis only. There are no guaranteed miles due to the newness of this service and the limited information available regarding the Veterans travel needs, which are on an as needed basis. Insurance coverage for the occupant(s) and driver are required along with proof of that insurance. This is a Commercial Item type of procurement with a 5-month base term and four(4) one(1) year options to renew. The anticipated start time of the contract will be May-1998 with the ending date being September 30, 1998. If all options are exercised this contract will be completed September 30, 2002. The SIC Code for this proposal is 4121. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
