V -- LODGING SERVICES SOL RFP-463-0090-98 DUE 041798 POC Michael C Fisher CONTRACT OFFICER (907)257-6945 fx(907)257-6711 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical & Regional Office Center at 2925 DeBarr Rd., Anchorage, AK 99508, has a need to establish a Contract with (3)three lodging facilities to provide lodging and meal services for approved out of town veterans that must come to Anchorage for healthcare services. This contract shall be for the period May 15, 1998, through September 30, 1998, with four(4) one(1) year options to renew. (If all options are exercised on this contract it will be in effect until September 30, 2002.) It is our intent to issue a multiple award contract to the three successful offerors who are capable of providing the best facilities at or better than the prescribed seasonal per diem rate set by the M-1 Part-1 Chapter-25 Beneficiary Travel Statute and the MP-1 Part-II Chapter-3 Beneficiary Travel Management Regulations. Meals are also accounted for under these same statutes and regulations. This is a Commercial Item type of procurement and the SIC Code for this solicitation is 7011. Contract award is subject to availability of funds.
