The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking sealed bids (#IFB2066) for Contract No. FH2066 for the replacement of approximately 230,000 LF of various types of signaling cables in an operating Metro Rail Yard, located in Washington DC. The existing cables will be left in place and new surface trenches will be installed to house the new cabling. The contractor will be given access to one section of the Yard at a time. Estimated cost range is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Work is to be completed within 730 calendar days after the notice to proceed. DBE goal is 21%. Bids will be opened o/a April 29, 1998.
