J -- MAINTENANCE FOR SEMI-AUTOMATIC MAILER SYSTEM POC Camille C. Battle, Contracting Officer The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Bell & Howell Mail Processing Systems, 113 Diamondwood Court, Bethel Park, PA 15101-1154, for renewal of a maintenance agreement for two (2) Bell & Howell Automatic Mailers. The maintenance services will be awarded as a commercial item for a base year, and four (4) additional option years. The machines are located at the FBI in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Model No. Phillipsburg Mailstar 776, Serial Numbers 46-8240 and 43-342 require a full coverage Preventive Maintenance Agreement (PMA) to include replacement of all standard parts to maintain the equipment, labor necessary for replacement of parts, technical adjustment, and cleaning and lubricating during scheduled inspections. The PMA shall also include periodic maintenance calls, and interim calls needed to keep equipment in good operating condition. The services shall be provided during normal working hours Monday through Friday from 8:30 through 5:30 and on an on-call basis on Saturdays. After a call is placed to the Contractor, a response time of two (2) hours is required. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7389 and the size standard is $5 million. Based on FBI market research, it has been determined that this is the only source to meet the FBI's requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
