The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD announces an amendment to CBD Pre-Solicitation Notice dated 30 October 1997, Submission No. 138788. NAWCAD intends on procuring engineering and technical support for the research, development, test and evaluation of acoustic and nonacoustic sensors for Navy Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)/Anti-Surface Warfare (ASUW) aircraft. In addition, the procurement shall include advanced imaging sensors and ancillary equipment for Navy and Marine reconnaissance/surveillance aircraft. The contractor shall provide technical support for the Electro-Optics Development Division by performing related tasking in the existing program technical support, new program technical support, and world-wide technical support. This acquisition will be on a competitive basis, one hundred percent (100%) set aside for small business concerns. The SIC is 8711. The planned period of performance is one base year plus four option periods. The estimated level of effort required is approximately 84,780 per year for an estimated total over the five year period of 423,900 hours. All interested parties must have or be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret facility clearance.
