The enclosure for Hangar 1029 shall simultaneously accommodate a KC-135 and a C-26 aircraft while Hangars 1033 and 1037 shall accommodate a KC-135 aircraft. The enclosures shall provide weather protection and maintenance tool utility support for the tail of the aircraft. Additionally, an AFFF system shall be installed in Hangar 1037 as well as in the extensions of Hangars 1029 and 1033. This procurement will be solicited under the Small Business Administration 8(a) program. Only 8(a) firms that are serviced by the Seattle District SBA Office or are a current 8(a) participant in good standing, serviced by an SBA office outside of the SBA Seattle District, but having an established verifiable, full time branch office (as defined by SBA) within the District may bid on this solicitation. Estimated cost of construction is between $5 million and $10 million. Time of completion will be 486 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be available on or about 3 April 1998. There will be a nonrefundable fee of $75 for the drawings and specifications. Make the check payable to DFAS-SB.
