Contractor shall provide quantity of 12 Refurbished Sparc Station 20 with Solaris User Environment, Model HS21 with one 125 MHZ processor, 256K, TGX Graphics, 17" color monitor TGX 1MB Frame Buff 32MB memory, 2.1 GB Int SCSI Disk and Type 5 Country Kits. This award is intended to be made on a sole source basis to Sun Microsystems, Inc., Palo Alto, CA. The Information Processing Branch of IS & T currently uses over 100 Sparc20 Workstations supplied by Sun Microsystems in support of the Army Space Programs Office TENCAP programs. In order to maintain commonality with other TENCAP systems and reduce system support costs by only using standardized materials and Sun Microsystems has the only reasonable parts available for this request. Also, the Sparc20 computer system requested is no longer in production and Sun is providing refurbished units for our purposes.
