The National Institute on Drug Abuse is soliciting proposals under a 100% small business set aside (SIC 2833 -- 750 employees) from qualified small businesses having the capability to manufacture bulk drug substances under current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), using the regulations and guidelines listed in the Code of Federal Regulations, Food and Drugs, 21, Part 211, "Current Good Manufacturing Practice for Finished Pharmaceuticals". These bulk drug substances will be used to support NIDA clinical trials. NIDA anticipates that 2 three-year contracts, each with options for two additional years, will result from this procurement. RFP No. N01DA-8-8091 will be available electronically on or about April 6, 1998, and may be accessed through the Internet at the following address: (URL: http://www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html) Please note that the RFP for this acquisition will be streamlined to include only the Work Statement, Deliverables and Reporting Requirements, Special Requirements and Mandatory Qualifications, Technical Evaluation Criteria, and other necessary Proposal Preparation Instructions.
