S -- GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SOL N62472-98-D-0545 DUE 040798 POC Joanne Milano, Procurement Technician, (732)866-2267 The Contractor shall perform Ground Maintenance Services as outlined in these specifications and as indicated or as required to produce the results intended and that he shall complete the work in a professional workmanlike manner. The contractor must be fully equipped with approved standard turf maintenance equipment. Equipment used must have the required NJ State Certification for the application of pesticides. The Contractor shall give his personal attention to work and shall employ and retain at the premises, while work is in progress, a competent foreman or superintendent. Instructions given by the Contracting Officer or his representative to such foreman or head workman shall be considered as having been given to the Contractor. The Contractor shall also employ laborers who are qualified for this work in order to execute the work under this contract efficiently and in a thorough and workmanlike manner. At least one of the contractors labor force shall be a skilled gardener who has a thorough and workmanlike manner. At least one of the Contractor's labor force shall be a skilled gardener who has a thorough knowledge of lawn maintenance and the care of plant materials. This solicitation is for a base period of one year with four one year options for a total of 60 months. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for Small Business.
