16 -- DATABUS NETWORK TESTER SOL N68335-98-Q-0142 DUE 041698 POC Jennifer Vaccaro, Code 213JV, (732)323-5129, Contracting Officer is Jack Murtagh The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure twenty-three (23) portable, Ruggedized Databus Network Testers, P/N S2476N. This tester is specifically designed for use in making examinations and providing discrete evaluations of the MIL-STD 1553 databus system or subsystems. Special environmental condition tests such as temperature, humidity, transit, and vibration shall apply. The first unit shall be delivered 120 DAC; the remaining units shall be delivered at the rate of 8 per month. Option quantity of 15. The Government intends to procure from BCF Designs LTD, Cirencester, England under the authority of 19 U.S.C 2304(C)(1), implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. BCF Designs LTD is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the S2476N MIL-STD 1553 Databus Network Tester. The hardware and software designs are proprietary to BCD Designs LTD, and the Navy did not procure any data rights or re-procurement information. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
