The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source contract to the Medical Radiological Research CEnter (MRRC) of the Russian Academy of Sciences to study responses of blood and other tissue cytokines to combined radiation and thermal injury, with and without treatment with biological responses modifiers. This requirement must be performed by an organization experienced with the use of cytokines in treatment of combined thermal and radiation injury. MRRC is the only company that has this expertise. Contemplated period of performance is 12 months.
