District is interested in procuring Underwater Diving Services. The
services consist of furnishing underwater diving services at 16
Pittsburgh District Reservoirs. The services to be provided will
consist of, but not limited to: underwater diver inspection of bridge
piers, stilling basin floors, training walls, baffles, weirs, end
sills, dam toes, outlet works, intakes, upstream dam faces and
downstream river beds, underwater photography (both 35mm and
vidoetape); installation and/or recovery of equipment such as floating
boat docks, repairs to depth gauging manometer systems, and thermistor
strings/buoys; operate and tend a Government furnished Remotely
Operated Vehicle Systems and operate Government furnished underwater
centrifugal jetting pumps. Additionally, the contractor may be required
to place underwater concrete grout and grout bags in areas of the dam
structures, stilling basins, outflows, or bridge piers; perform
underwater exothermic cutting and underwater shielded metal arc welding
on structures and appurtenances at District projects. It is anticipated
a contract will be awarded which consists of a Base Annum with 4(1)
year option periods. This procurement has been set aside for small
