The 65th Contracting Squadron is conducting a market survey to determine the availability for qualified sources with the interest and capability in providing Refuse Collection and Disposal Services for the US Air Force at Lajes Field, Terceira Island, Azores, Portugal. The Contractor will be responsible for providing all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and any other items or services necessary to perform collection, consolidation and disposal of refuse. The following are representatives of requirements as they ascertain their ability to perform a contract of this magnitude: (1) provide everything needed to perform the service including vehicles and labor, (2) provide bulk container replacement (as needed), (3) provide periodic bulk container maintenance, cleaning and painting, (4) develop and provide a route and collection schedule, (5) provide a Quality Control Plan, (6) provide Emergency and Special services, (7) arrange local off base Land-fill usage. This is a market survey and DOES NOT constitute the CBD announcement for a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice and will not pay for any information received as a result of this notice.
